Program Details

Employees - Our Most Valuable Asset (A. Crabtree)
This presentation addresses the HR Management side of successful retention and investment of employees. There are five sections to be dissected: Recruit & Selection, Onboarding & Training, Coaching & Performance, Engagement & Promotion, and Exit Interviews.
(Length: 1 hour)

Hiring: Workforce Crisis - Retaining Staff (L. Boudreau)
The veterinary industry is facing a work force crisis. Retaining and growing your staff has never been more important. Employees are our most valuable assets, but do they know this? After looking at the employee life cycle from A to Z in the previous segment, we now focus on retention and talent management. If you don’t help them grow, you will watch them go!
(Length: 1
hour)

Communication Tips to Soothe The Wild Beast (Upset Clients) (L. Boudreau)
The pandemic may have brought out the best in some people and the worst in others. Dealing with upset clients sometimes feels like lion taming! How can we deescalate and make these critical client conversations turn into a win-win? Do we need to kick them out of the circus and how does that work? We’ll look at reasons that clients get frustrated, how to separate out our personal reactions, and learn how to become a successful “lion tamer.” (Length: 1 hour)

CA HR Laws That Make Us Special (A. Crabtree & L. Boudreau team up on this special segment!)
CA HR laws specifically geared toward the Veterinary Profession, small businesses and what is coming for 2022. (Length: 1.5 hours)
