John C. Angus, DVM, DACVD

Dr. Angus received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis, in June 1994. After obtaining his degree, he worked in a private small animal and emergency practice for five years. Dr. Angus completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Illinois and became a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2003. He remained at the University as a visiting clinical professor, where he received recognition as a teacher of excellence. Dr. Angus joined the Animal Dermatology Clinic in 2007 and sees patients in Pasadena, CA and Renton, WA. Dr. Angus has written extensively for journals, veterinary textbooks, and is frequently invited to speak at national and international conferences. Dr. Angus has served as the Chairman of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology Education Committee and on the editorial boards for the Veterinary Dermatology and Journal of American Animal Hospital Association. He was honored to receive the North American Veterinary Conference Small Animal Speaker of the Year Award for 2008 and recognition by the Morris Animal Foundation Veterinary Honor Roll in 2012.

Michael M. Pavletic, DVM, DACVS

Dr. Pavletic received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. Dr. Pavletic completed his internship and surgical residency at Angell Memorial in 1977. He is a 1981 Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Pavletic has published over 100 articles in the fields of plastic and reconstructive surgery, wound healing, wound management, and surgical stapling, and has developed over 70 original surgical techniques. He is the author of the acclaimed “Atlas of Small Animal Wound Management and Reconstructive Surgery,” third edition released in April 2010. In 1996, he received the Bourgelat International Award for outstanding contributions in small animal practice by the British Small Animal Veterinary Association. Dr. Pavletic was elected as the 2007 President of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and served as the ACVS Summit Chairman in 2008. In 2010, Dr. Pavletic was the recipient of the Erwin Small Distinguished Alumni Award, from the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine and more recently was the 2014 recipient of the Angell/MSPCA Mary Mitchell Award for outstanding contributions to the health and welfare of small animals.
