Pedro Diniz, DVM, PhD

Dr. Pedro Diniz is an Associate Professor in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the Western University of Health Sciences (WesternU) College of Veterinary Medicine. He has a special interest in zoonotic vector-borne diseases in companion animals. Dr. Diniz obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and in 2006 earned his PhD in Clinical Sciences from the São Paulo State University (UNESP) in Brazil. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at North Carolina State University from 2006 to 2009. Dr. Diniz joined WesternU in 2009 and has published over 50 manuscripts on Vector-Borne Diseases and Internal Medicine, being cited over 1,200 times during his professional life. Christopher Lee, DVM, CVLS

Dr. Christopher Lee obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California at Davis in 1998. The Veterinary Laser Society certified Dr. Lee as a veterinary laser surgeon in 2007. He worked for 16 years in clinical practice, including designing and managing a four-doctor veterinary hospital in Las Vegas and owning two hospitals in Arizona. In his time there, Dr. Lee appeared on local television and was interviewed on radio podcasts for Canada’s Pet Information Network. He joined Boehringer-Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc., in 2013 as a Professional Services Veterinarian serving the Southern California, Las Vegas and Hawaii regions of the United States. In order to keep his knowledge and surgical skills up to date, Dr. Lee regularly performs relief veterinary services in several hospitals in California, and he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Health through the University of Iowa.
